We spend so much of our days doing, planning, thinking ahead, and moving from one responsibility to the next. Even when we finally have a moment to ourselves, it can be difficult to truly slow down. Our bodies may be resting, but our minds are still busy with everything that needs our attention.
And somewhere along the way, we can lose touch with what it feels like to simply be, without needing to accomplish anything.
This gathering is an invitation to step away from the constant doing and give yourself permission to rest.
Together, we'll create space to slow down, reconnect with ourselves, and experience what happens when we allow ourselves to receive, rather than always being the ones giving and holding everything together.
Through ceremonial cacao, guided meditation, and an immersive sound bath, we'll gently move from the busyness of everyday life into a more restful state. We'll begin by turning our attention inward, noticing how we feel and what we might need, before settling into the sounds and vibrations of different instruments.
For two hours, you're invited to put everything else aside and enjoy the simple experience of having nowhere else to be.
Opening Cacao Ritual & Guided Meditation
We'll share a cup of ceremonial cacao, taking a moment to acknowledge its origins and the traditions from which this practice comes. Through a guided meditation, you'll be invited to slow down, connect with your body and breath, and explore what it feels like to simply receive.
Immersive Sound Bath
From there, you'll be invited to lie down, get comfortable, and allow yourself to be immersed in the sounds and vibrations of different instruments. There is nothing you need to do or focus on. Simply listen, notice, and allow the experience to unfold at your own pace.
Integration & Closing
We'll close with a few moments of stillness and reflection, giving you time to notice how you feel and gently transition back into the rest of your day. There will also be space to share your experience if you wish.
You've been feeling caught up in the busyness of everyday life, find it difficult to switch off, or simply long for some time to yourself.
You might be someone who spends a lot of energy taking care of others, who struggles to rest without feeling guilty, or who feels curious about exploring meditation, cacao, and sound as ways of relaxing and reconnecting with yourself.
No previous experience is needed. All practices are invitations, and you're welcome to participate in whatever way feels comfortable for you.
Keep it simple.
Comfortable clothing and anything that helps you feel cozy during the sound bath. Maybe a journal and pen if you wish to journal.
Try to arrive at least 5 minutes early, so you have time to settle and get comfy before we start.
