December can be a lot.
Work to wrap up before the holidays, presents to find, plans to make, people to see, places to be. And somewhere in there, we're also encouraged to reflect on the year, think about what we want next, set intentions and get ready for a fresh start.
On the longest night of the year, let’s do something much simpler.
Make something warm to drink. Put on comfortable clothes. Bring a blanket. Light a candle. And spend 90 quiet minutes slowing down together.
We'll move gently, breathe, spend a little time reflecting, and finish with a long Yoga Nidra. There won't be anything intense to process, nowhere you need to get to, and no expectation to make this evening meaningful or productive.
Just a little space to be quiet, rest, and let December ask less of you for a while.
Nothing to figure out.
We'll begin together with something warm to drink and a few minutes to arrive.
From there, you’ll be guided through gentle somatic movement and an easy breathing practice, helping you transition out of the day and into a slower evening.
We'll take a little time for personal reflection, with a few simple questions around rest, what feels tired, what can wait, and what might make the coming weeks feel a little softer.
As the evening gets quieter, we'll turn down the lights and spend a few moments together in the darkness of the longest night, before settling underneath our blankets for a deep rest practice.
We'll close slowly, relight our candles, and leave the evening there.
No breakout rooms. No big sharing circle. Cameras can be off whenever you want.
You can simply receive.
You feel like December has already been asking quite a lot of you.
You're craving an evening with nowhere to go and very little expected of you.
You'd like to slow down before the holidays without turning it into another thing you need to do well.
You enjoy meditation, gentle breathing, Yoga Nidra, or simply being guided into rest and relaxation.
Or you just really like the idea of making tea, getting under a blanket, and spending the longest night of the year in good company.
No previous experience with meditation or Yoga Nidra is needed.
Keep it simple.
Something warm to drink, a candle and something to light it with, a journal and pen, and whatever you need to lie down comfortably and stay warm.
Blankets, pillows, warm socks, and pyjamas are very much encouraged.
Join from somewhere you can be undisturbed, and if possible, give yourself a little space afterwards before going straight back to screens, housework, or your to-do list. You could actually go straight to bed after the event.
Come exactly as you are at the end of a December Monday.
Make some tea.
Light a candle. Get comfortable.
I'll take it from there.
Nothing to figure out.
When you're signed up, you'll receive a Zoom link via email a few hours before the event.
Only put your camera if you feel comfortable. Either way, you're strongly encouraged to come as though you were about to go to sleep : teeth brushed, messy hair, and pyjamas on.
No, all practices, gentle movement, and deep rest, are suitable for everyone. If you have any injury, you can let me know beforehand and I can adapt the movement.
All sales are final. Once your ticket is purchased, it is not possible to cancel anymore. However, if because of unforseen circumstances you cannot join, someone can join in your stead. In that case, you will have to arrange the transfer of the ticket and payment directly with that person.
